Every now and then I will get a request for something different, and I jump at it! Here’s how I look at it: if you’ve shot with me before, and you don’t want to shoot with me the second time around, I’m just a tad bit heartbroken. I only feel like I succeeded the first time around if you call me for the next event/milestone. This has been my relationship with the Silvas. From their wedding to family photos and now to Rafeal’s job. I really have been so blessed by this couple and wish them nothing but the BEST things in life.
Rafael started his business over eight years ago in New York. He took ER Ambulance to California and has turned this in to a booming business. They started with four employees and now they’re at almost 80, with a fleet of dozens of vehicles all over San Diego county. This shoot was for the website that they are about to start work on and also a little more personal for Rafael so he can remember how it was since they are only getting bigger by the day! The EMTs were all super professional and great to work with. We obviously set up some mock stuff below to showcase equipment and just top-notch service. I would definitely not mind being helped by these guys. Ha! Pretty excited for the things to come.
I also wanted to mention that Rafael and the ER Ambulance team is providing for their community in more than one way. I remember Chrissy calling to tell me about it. She just finished having dinner at PF Changs with Rafael when he decides to, out of nowhere, order over a dozen bbq beef dishes and honey shrimp TO GO and take them downtown to the homeless shelter. She thought this would be a one-time good deed sorta thing, but it’s since turned in to a once-a-week thing and now upstairs in a corner of the stock room is somewhat of a mini-grocery! Rafael says they cook and serve downtown as well. What great people! We need more people like this in the world.
That being said, I know it’s not my typical shoot, buuut, in case you haven’t noticed, I like challenge, and I am more than willing to take on “jobs” like these. Hope you’re all having an amazing weekend!

I liked how I went in to the supply area and there was NOTHING NEEDED on the log. They have everything they need and more. =)

Pretty good action shots T! I’ve seen these babies driving around as well!
